Shipping & Returns
Shipping Policies
We ship all orders via USPS Priority Mail or USPS Ground Advantage. Priority Mail is usually two- or three-day delivery speed, but the Postal Service may take longer to deliver packages depending on how busy their network is, especially around the holidays. Ground Advantage is estimated at 3-5 business days.
We offer free Ground Advantage shipping on all orders of $49 or more - discount added automatically at checkout.
Our current shipping time is three business days. If you order on a Monday, your package will ship by Thursday; if you order on a Friday, your package will ship by the following Wednesday (assuming there are no postal holidays in between).
Unfortunately, we cannot ship to locations outside the United States.
Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after they have been marked as successfully delivered by USPS. Please be sure that your order is shipped to a secure location. If you would like to add signature confirmation, please let us know at the same time that you place your order. The additional cost is about $3. All orders with a value of $1000 or more automatically ship with signature confirmation for free.
In the event that USPS cannot deliver a package due to an incorrect or undeliverable address, they may mark it as “Return to Sender” and send it back to us. Please be sure that the delivery address entered at checkout is correct, and that it is an address where USPS can safely leave packages. If a package is returned to us because of an incorrect or undeliverable address, we cannot provide a replacement or refund until we receive the original package back in the mail, and the initial cost of shipping will be subtracted from the refund.
Payment
We accept online payments by credit card, debit card, Paypal, or using one of the other options offered on the checkout page by Stripe (the payment processor for Squarespace). Refunds are applied to the same payment method used for the original purchase.
Please note that we do not accept payment by cash, personal check, business check, or money order.
Returns
We are happy to accept returns on most unused and undamaged merchandise as long as a return request is made within one week of the delivery date.
We cannot accept returns on woven goods that have been damaged, worn, or washed; fiber roving that has been pulled apart or that weighs less than its original weight; or natural dyes after the shrink wrap has been removed.
Please note that we cannot accept returns on any wild vicuña or guanaco products. All sales of vicuña and guanaco are final.
For returns, please email us at info@shepherdtextiles.com. After we authorize the return, the items may be mailed back to us using any USPS service that includes a tracking number (Ground Advantage, Priority Mail, etc.). Please note that the return must be shipped through USPS and not through Fedex or UPS. As soon as we receive it we will refund the full purchase amount, less the original cost of shipping.
Please double-check that the return shipping address is correct on your shipping label. We are not responsible for returned items sent to a wrong address.

Disclaimers
We make every effort to create a consistent product, but hand-spinning is an artform and some inconsistencies do occur in handspun yarn. Yarn diameters and lengths are approximate. Likewise, naturally dyed yarns are unique and each naturally dyed skein may display minor variation.
We do our best to take photos that accurately portray the colors of our goods. However, differences in screen settings can make some colors appear different than in real life.
