This blend combines the warmth and buttery softness of guanaco with the soft hand and durability of ultrafine merino. The natural cinnamon shade of guanaco and the natural white of merino wool together produce a beautiful beige or ivory color. Guanaco/Merino is an excellent choice for projects that need to be soft, warm, and extra special. This yarn is spun in Argentina by TexAndes, a fiber mill that sources guanaco fleeces directly from local communities in the southern Andes.
Each skein weighs 50 grams and is 200 meters long (fingering weight, NM count 3/12). Recommended needle size is US 1-3. Please note that you will need a yarn swift and ball winder if you wish to convert the skein to a center-pull ball. Hand wash in cold water; lay flat to dry.
