Handspun Merino/Tussah Silk Yarn
These brilliantly-colored yarns were all handspun on a Schacht Flatiron wheel from our 70% Merino/30% Tussah Silk combed top. The silk gives the yarn a beautiful luster, while the merino makes it warm and soft enough to wear against the skin. These are soft, fluffy, shiny skeins that were spun as a medium-weight 2-ply yarn, approximately 10 wraps per inch. An excellent choice for projects where bold colors are meant to stand out, but that still need to be soft enough to wear against the skin.
Each skein measures 120 yards and weighs between 5 and 6 ounces. Because this is a handspun product, some natural variation in yarn thickness will occur.
