Maya Green Soap Dye
Shepherd Textiles Maya Green is a plant-based natural dye developed specifically for use in cold process soap. Made from just three simple ingredients — natural indigo, annatto seed extract, and sepiolite clay — it will give your soap a beautiful leaf green shade that is resistant to fading and bleeding. It’s also easy to use: just mix with distilled water to make a paste, and then stick-blend it into the oil base to produce a bright and even color without dark spots or scratchy bits. Caution: For cold process soap only. Not for use in food or cosmetic products. Always wear a mask when working with dry pigments. Using more than the recommended amount of dye may result in dark-colored lather. We recommend allowing the clay powder to hydrate for at least 10-20 minutes before blending it into the oils, to prevent any cracking when the soap cures.
