Dried buckthorn berries are rich sources of yellow dye, and they were used for centuries both to color fabrics and to produce pigments for illustrating books and manuscripts. Persian berries produce a distinctly warm, golden shade of yellow. Our Persian Berry Extract is highly concentrated and is made from plants grown, harvested, and extracted in Europe. Use at 3%-5% weight-of-fabric (WOF) for medium to dark yellows on natural fibers mordanted with alum.
